GCW Currency System

We have introduced a brand new system to the game completely unique to Aftermath. You may be asking yourself what GCW Reward Terminals are and how they are used. This page will explain how the system works. It’s a simple system that we believe adds a nice extra layer of rewards to PvP combat.

GCW Reward Terminals are terminals placed throughout the galaxy that can be used by players who have acquired a new type of XP we have introduced (Imperial and Rebel GCW Currency). This Imperial and Rebel GCW Currency XP is only gained by deathblowing a player opponent of the opposite faction in PvP.

As you gain kills in PvP you will see the relevant XP increase. With the XP in hand, you can visit one of four terminals to spend your XP on.

The location of each terminal is as follows:

  • Tatooine, Mos Eisley: 3533 -4811 (Ancient Krayt Dragon Roll)
  • Corellia, Coronet: -141 -4663 (Axkva Min Roll)
  • Naboo, Theed: -4794 4117 (Acklay Roll)
  • Dant Mining: -645 2446 (Geo Caves Fire Spider Roll)

The big catch with this system is that you can only spend your XP IF your faction controls the planet you are trying to spend it on. You can check who owns which planet by talking to a faction recruiter on the appropriate planet. To gain control of a planet, you must place down bases on said planet to gain points. If your faction does not control the planet, you will not be able to purchase any rolls until your faction controls the planet.

The loot rolls themselves are of the same power level as rolls from actually killing the bosses. We believe this keeps the system fair and just like the PvE rolls, you’ll need some luck to get something good. The cost of these rolls can be adjusted in the future depending how much PvP is happening. Right now it costs 4000 XP per roll and you earn 1000 XP per deathblow.

With these changes we believe PvP has even more meaning than usual, placing bases will now be key to controlling a Planet and combined with our Demolition Specialist profession, placing and destroying bases is a key strategy in PvP on Aftermath.

As always, if anyone has any questions about this system feel free to ask about it in Discord or in game! We hope players enjoy the GCW Reward Terminals and best of luck on your rolls!
